Want to go deeper into your yoga practice? In these general-intermediate level vinyasa classes, we focus on building a stronger pranayama and meditation practice as well as progressing (within our ability) in asana practice. Each course has a different focus or goal.

Flo’s focus is on tuning into the breath, combining breath and movement, working without strain, and gradually building ease of movement and strength through correct technique. This approach greatly enhances the benefits of the practice, providing not just better health, but a deepened state of self-awareness, and peace of mind whilst also avoiding injury.

Because Flo’s expertise lies in paring back the unnecessary additions that are often added to the practice, you will understand the true foundation of each technique offered.

Equipment suggested;

3 x wool blankets (or thick towels)

Bolster (or cushion or pillow)

Block (or two thick books)

Strap (or belt)

Yoga mat.

SCHEDULE

These classes suit practitioners who have been attending classes consistently for a minimum of 1 year. We will be using general-intermediate level asana and pranayama techniques.

“Deep Spring Clean”

Time to shake off the fug of winter, and burst into life with Spring in your step! Over winter, Kapha dosha builds, making us feel heavy, lethargic, even depressed, and makes it easy to retreat into comfort eating and to put on weight! (Especially if you have been in lockdown, yes?!) Don’t worry! We will break through this heaviness and emerge lighter and feeling refreshed and strong, using powerful yogic tools to cleanse the system of toxic build up and re-charge our digestive fire!

On this course we will;

  • Practice dynamic, energising yoga asanas including Sun Salutes, Warrior postures, balances, back bends and core strength to build vitality and kick the metabolism up a gear, facilitating weight loss
  • Learn strengthening and energising pranayama and mantra bringing a sense of enthusiasm and courage
  • Practice stronger twists, side bends and inversions to cleanse and awaken the digestive system
  • Cleanse kapha dosha with flowing, strength building yoga sequences.
