NOVEMBER 23-29 2025

Overview

RELAX AND RENEW

THERE ARE A MAXIMUM OF 15 PLACES ON THIS RETREAT.

Places Remaining: 8

At the end of another busy year, take this time out to relax, renew and refresh your spirit by going deeply within. For 6 nights and 5 days, immerse in yoga and meditation whilst soaking the peace and serenity of the Byron Hinterland!

On this retreat, as well as 2-3 x daily yoga and meditation practices in the fabulous yoga shala, we will be treated to three meals a day of the fabulous cuisine provided by Ronit of Open Table, who specialises in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern fare.

This retreat will not only leave you feeling relaxed and in touch with yourself, having deepened your yoga and meditation practice, but also full of good feelings of connection with others on the same path.

Flo Fenton is one of Australia’s most highly regarded teachers, teacher trainers and yoga therapists. On this retreat, you will get the opportunity to learn the true essence of yoga life-style and practice from an expert in the field and from someone who truly lives yoga.

As always, Flo’s focus will be on paring back complicated and unnecessary parts of yoga practice to reveal the true foundation of each technique. This retreat offers a deep insight into yoga for all levels. Those who are experienced teachers regularly come to learn from Flo for fine tuning, to learn the latest teaching tools and tips, and to re-inspire their own practice and teaching, whilst those who are just starting out on their yoga journey will be led into the practice at a level that is appropriate and beneficial.

Example of daily retreat schedule

Program begins Sunday 23rd November at 6pm with opening circle followed by welcome dinner. Program ends with closing circle and farewell dinner on the last evening, Friday November 28th -leave the next morning after breakfast Saturday 29th November. There will be the option of a half day excursion to Mullumbimby Wednesday or Thursday.

A variety of traditional, guided sitting meditation techniques (those who cannot sit can lie down, sit with back against wall etc.)

Using a flowing, focused sequence of postures, we will address the fundemenatal asanas to build a deeper understanding of postural bio-mechanicss and learn to manage common areas of pain, tightness and weakness in the body. Though the practice is strength and fitness building, Flo creates a strong focus of awareness on the subtleties of the physical postures, core-strength, and the movement of the breath in the body. There will be alternatives given to those whose injuries or postural peculiarities prevent them from performing a posture with total comfort and safety. This practice will be of benefit to all, beginners to advanced students/teachers.

9.45am: Breakfast
Enjoy a fresh and colourful healthy vegetarian breakfast, freshly prepared for you in house by chef Ronit.

11am-12.30pm: Free Time
Have a massage or ayurvedic treatment, a private yoga session with Flo, read, swim in the pool, relax in the sauna  or take a walk through the peaceful grounds of the retreat.

12.30-1pm; Yoga Nidra

1pm: Lunch
Enjoy a fresh and colourful healthy vegetarian lunch, freshly prepared for you in house by chef Ronit.

4pm-5.30pm: Introspective Yoga Asana, Pranayama and Meditation and Yoga Nidra
This session will be of particular benefit to those seeking a way to use their yoga practice to relax and ‘tune-in’ at a deeper level. In this session we will explore the use of yoga props to facilitate ease in our asana practice, and different breathing techniques and meditations to bring about a deep experience of connectedness with the very subtlest layers of our being. Especially beneficial to those who have had a strongly Asana focused practice, are older or less flexible, or those who have stressful lives.

6.30pm: Evening Meal
Another fabulous, creative meal prepared by chef Ronit!

Testimonials

“Dear Flo, Just a quick message to thank you once again for the retreat last week, which very much lived up to my expectations. I was particularly impressed by the depth and breadth of your knowledge of yoga, and the excellence of your planning, preparation and presentation of lessons.

I expected to be tired and achy by the end of the week, but am pleasantly surprised to feel more energetic and with no aches and pains at all. I?m attributing this partly to the extra time you spent on pranayama and relaxation/meditation compared to other retreats I’ve attended, but also to the way that you sequence your lessons so that the body is very thoroughly prepared before moving into the stronger asanas. A good lesson for me to bring into my own practice!

The food, of course was wonderful, so was the location beside such an unspoiled, uncrowded beach, and the accommodation, I thought, was comfortable and good value for the price.

All up, a worthwhile, educative and enjoyable week! Best wishes for the future to you and yours, Warmest regards.”

“The retreat was wonderful. Flo is a great teacher and I really appreciated her teaching style: firm and organised but patient and full of intent. It was always clear what we were doing and why we were there. I liked how she led us through our practice, calmly and with purpose, whether that was asana or chanting or yoga nidra.”
